Silvie has been working in the area of Corporate Communications, Public Relations and Public Affairs for 30 years on both the corporate and agency sides.
On the corporate side, she has worked in senior roles for four large pharmaceutical companies in Canada, where she played key roles such as media spokesperson.
On the PR agency side, she has been counseling clients in various sectors including aerospace, automotive, consumer goods, health and the environment.
Her expertise includes: strategic planning, corporate and brand reputation, issue and crisis management, stakeholder relations and advocacy, PR-marketing campaigns using traditional media relations as well as social media. She has also developed numerous internal communications and employee engagement initiatives as well as corporate social responsibility programs.
Over the years, Silvie has successfully spearheaded the PR launch of countless products, as well as led innovative campaigns involving celebrities and key stakeholders to support business objectives and grow market shares. She has delivered on joint programs with policy and governmental relations experts and has trained several corporate spokespersons to help them get ready for media relations campaigns and delicate news announcements.
Silvie holds a BA in Psychology and a minor in Public Affairs from Concordia University. She has also completed a Certificate in Public Relations from Université de Montréal and was granted her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) in 1999. Throughout her career, Silvie has received numerous awards of excellence for the quality of her work from provincial, national and international PR associations. In 2016, she was inducted into the prestigious College of Fellows of the Canadian Public Relations Society.
