MONTREAL, May 17, 2019 – The integrated communications agency Capital-Image is proud to have won a Grand Prix Media Award last night for its innovative campaign “Move with Kijiji”, in the Best Use of Printed Media category (dailies, weeklies, magazines).
The campaign was intended to help consolidate Kijiji”s authority as the leader of the second-hand economy. The choice of multi-purpose advertising has helped strengthen the importance of the second-hand economy given that according to the Kijiji’s 2018 Index, moving to a new apartment or house is the second most important reason that motivates consumers to seek online ads.
“This campaign is the result of the strategic creativity that our team strives to demonstrateon a daily basis to our client Kijiji,” said Silvie Letendre, Senior Vice President of Capital-Image. “The project was made possible thanks to the trust that Kijiji has placed in us for more than 12 years now, and it is a great example of the numerous services that Capital-Image is able to offer its clients.”
Following the campaign, which was Kijiji’s only marketing effort in the province of Quebecfor this period, Kijiji was able to see a 15% increase in the number of page views of the Kijiji.ca site in Quebec in June and July 2018 compared to 2017.
Thanks to a kraft paper insert in the Journal Métro that could be used as packaging for fragile items, the concept created and developed by Capital-Image was intended to complement a communications campaign launched by Kijiji in Quebec around the moving season. As the most read newspaper in the greater Montreal area, the Journal Métro offered the best platform to reach the young and urban audience that Kijiji wanted to reach.
The 18th edition of the Prix Média contest, which rewards the best media strategies in Quebec, is an initiative of Infopresse in association with the Quebec Council of Media Directors (CDMQ), which took place at Les 7 doigts collective space in Montreal.
