Yvon has over thirty years of experience in communications, covering public affairs, advertising and marketing. Over the years, he has become convinced that the integration of the different disciplines of communication and the tools that flow from them is of paramount importance. According to him, integrated communication is a powerful vector ensuring the quality of the management of the reputation of an organization, often called the capital image, and the impact of its investments in communication.
Before founding Capital-Image, Yvon had a rich professional career within corporations. He also gained experience as a founder of the agency, as a team manager and strategic advisor.
Whether as a primary client contact or as a work team supervisor, Yvon advises and assists a large number of organizations at the strategic and operational levels. Yvon helped reposition several brands. He has managed several communication programs to launch and enhance the image, services and products of a large number of companies in finance, technology, health and consumer products sectors. He has also worked on various issues and major societal issues.
Yvon is regularly involved in the management of sensitive issues: workplace accidents, public health incidents, strikes, layoffs, closures, acquisitions and mergers, product recalls, computer incidents and natural disasters. He has also trained more than a hundred spokespeople.
With a background in humanities, social sciences and advertising, Yvon began his career at Sun Life Financial. He then held senior communications positions with the Insurance Bureau of Canada, Nortel Networks and Crédit Foncier.
Well versed in the role of corporate communicator, he then led a group of public relations agency professionals. Life in an agency made him want to set up shop in 1989. From there was born Capital-Image, a company where he was able to further bring his values to life, not only as a communicator but also as a committed citizen. By founding Capital-Image, Yvon started fruitful business relationships that are still going strong under the leadership team of Silvie Letendre and Miriam Lauzon.
