Don Sancton is a seasoned corporate communications professional with over 30 years of experience, specializing in communications strategy and media relations.
Based in Montreal and bilingual, he began his professional life as a reporter and subsequently editor and publisher for a group of Montreal-area newspapers, winning national awards for his editorial writing.
He then spent 10 years heading corporate communications and corporate affairs for the largest pharmaceutical company in Canada. He managed all external communications and acted as corporate spokesperson, while also directing internal communications and an extensive national CSR program.
He has been a communications consultant since 2005, first as an SVP for the Canadian operations of a global public affairs firm and latterly as a writer and senior consultant for two PR agencies. Since the beginning of his collaboration with Capital-Image, he has worked on a wide array of clients ranging from pharmaceuticals to aerospace, artificial intelligence and consumer goods.
Along with developing communications strategies, he excels at crafting key messages, media releases, Q&As, speeches, Op-Eds think-tank articles and position papers. Don holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
