Our children, our future
Our children, our future

Your often hear that the future is in the hands of the young. But until they grow up, it’s in the hands of adults who have the responsibility of protecting them, caring for them and helping them take wing so that they can make their own contribution to the advance of society.

Over the years, Capital-Image has had the opportunity to address a number of issues and problems from the point of view and in the best interest of young people.

Reducing accidents and injuries

For over 10 years, Capital-image has run a major annual communication campaign to prevent accidental injuries among children under 14. This campaign addresses a number of issues related to the most common accidents for this age group, such as drowning, the effectiveness of car seats, wearing bike helmets, pedestrian safety and much more. Ensuring the safety of children is gratifying, but it’s a job that’s never done. Prevention is a function of repetition!

Reducing risk factors for delinquency and gangs

Capital-Image is very much involved with the issue of delinquency and street gangs and works with a number of key community players to develop an awareness campaign for prevention in primary schools. This is done to intervene early with a young audience to try to change attitudes and exposure to risk factors. The campaign’s goals include helping parents acquire or perfect parenting skills, developing self-esteem among young people and getting them to think about themselves and different problems, and helping families break out of isolation.

Promoting success at school

As a communications partner for a school board, Capital-Image regularly gets the chance to participate in efforts to promote success and staying in school and to attract media attention to the achievements of inspired, productive and intelligent young people.

Early introductions to good habits

A number of our mandates have involved developing tools and promoting new resources to improve the health and well-being of young people, ingraining in them habits they’ll carry into adulthood. Some of these efforts have involved helping them learn how to manage money, launching an innovative exercise program and the importance of proper oral hygiene.

Do you have a problem to communicate? Do you want to make a change in perceptions or habits? Call on our team; it will be a pleasure to support you in your efforts with youth.
